Lawn Cemetery & Churchyard Memorials : Images

These memorials were produced by Leake's Masonry, many with a high degree of personalisation by the families concerned for the memory of their loved ones.

Stone is a natural material, therefore memorials are all liable to vary in colour and veining, absolute resemblance cannot be guaranteed.

Moncaster

Three Absolute Black granite memorials, two with the same shape but each with completely contrasting designs personally specified.

Apart from black, other popular colours are blue, grey and multicolour.

Skelton

Dogs and birds featured prominently during Sammy Crane's life.

Needham
The memorial shown on the left is made in Roman Stone - a material much favoured by churchyards.

Holehouse
This is a memorial made especially for cremated remains. Many cemeteries and churchyards have special areas for those wishing this type of commemoration.

Classic Balmoral Red is used for this distinguished design.

Miller

Specially commissioned memorials come in many shapes and sizes where permitted. The stone on the right was made 26 years after the original.

Books are extremely popular, none more so than in Absolute Black granite. It must be noted that granite books are much more expensive than white marble.

The two white marble memorials shown here were made 30 years apart. The one on the left is a mirror image of the original.

Sculptures are still very popular amongst the Catholic communities.

This is a traditional Italian white Carrara marble "Lady of Lourdes".
